Emotional song by Jon Henrik Fjällgren (English & Swedish lyrics)

Jon Henrik Fjällgren’s emotional Sami joik song which was dedicated to his friend – Daniel – who passed away. It won the hearts of Sweden’s Got Talent in 2014.

Swedish lyrics. Översatt låttext av Jon Henrik Fjällgren själv.
—————————————————————————-

Translated English song lyrics:
—————————————
Are you still with me, my dear friend,
Though I no longer see you?
Are you still here on earth,
As you are in my heart?
I lie here and ponder,
It’s desolately quiet around me.
Tears break out and fall,
With the thought of you.

An angel that was forgotten here,
Have now got his wings.
Where do you fly now, my angel?
Where do you fly now?

Are you flying through the pearly gates?
Or the end of the world?
Are you flying next to me?
Or am I all alone now?

Wherever you are now, my friend.
Wherever the road leads you.
Promise me you’ll wait there,
Until I meet you.

I hope you’re happy now.
As I was with you.
And the pain you’ve suffered,
I hope it’s forgotten.

Fly freely, my dear friend.
You are free now.
And until we meet again,
Farewell, my angel.

Swedish soul expressed in a song by Jon Henrik Fjällgren – Jag är fri

Jon Henrik Fjällgren – Jag är fri

(song in Sami language by Jon Henrik Fjällgren and in Swedish by Manne Leam Frijje)

Learning foreign language comes alone with learning a culture, traditions, and some history. This video shows some nice Swedish nature and scenes from life in the north part of Sweden.  The song is just amazing too. Enjoy. 🙂

Jon Henrik Mario Fjällgren (born 26 April 1987) is a Colombian-Swedish-Sami singer and jojkare, an interpreter of Sámi Joik and winner of the Swedish Talang Sverige 2014 competition in 2014 broadcast on TV3.

Song #4: Agnes Carlsson – En sån karl (Such a man)

English translation

Like a man

He walks like a man, looks like a man
With a body like a man
And he kisses like a man would
Like a man would
He is charming like a man, he is bold like a man
Nonchalant like a man
And he moves like a man would
Like a man would
But deep inside, he has the mind of a child
And I’ll give everything I have to this wonderful man
So that he’s mine for the rest of my life
Of course he can, like a man, see what women have
And he gives when he takes
With a force that a man has
That a man has
But deep inside, he has the mind of a child
And I’ll give everything I have to this wonderful man
So that he’s mine for the rest of my life
And I’ll give everything I have to this wonderful man
So that he’s mine for the rest of my life
Translation author’s comments: en sån karl is better translated as “such a man” but “like a man” fits better with what she’s saying in the song.
